Which webcomic warrior are you?
They say that most of the people who read webcomics are webcomickers themselves, so I wouldn’t be too surprised if you recognized yourself in the above strip. In fact I’d be surprised if a few of you didn’t. Just remember, I love you exactly the way you are.
Of course some webcartoonists defy easy description; webcartoonists like Scott from Journey to Mount Moriah. If I had to pick a Webcomic Action Battler name for him, it’d probably be something like “The Theme Chameleon”. He can go from brilliant gags like this, to striking pathos, from gritty realism to the whimsically odd, all without breaking his stride. I have no idea what the hell this is, but I like it. My favorite strip at Journey to Mount Moriah is “First Kiss”.
Scott has a wonderful ability to create brief fragments of intense emotion over the course of just a few panels. Most of his comics imply a much larger story, but the details are left to the reader’s imagination. He’s said that he wants to try his hand at something larger. Personally, I want to see him try his hand at free association space opera, though I’ll admit that it’s a niche genre.
I have an update right before this strip goes public- I’ve learned from today’s comic that someone close to Scott is going through a rough time right now. Drop by and show your support.

Oh, I see, we have a genre now. I’m off to write a stern letter on my caxton printing press.
‘The cross-hatcher’ needs to be the title of a film… I don’t know what about, but it needs to be done.

I’m definitely the Basement Dweller.

I may seem a basement dweller at the moment, but I fancy myself more of a crosshatching sexual deviant.
