Kolo Learns The Situation Is Worse Than He Thought
I’ve received some bad news- For The Hermits is going on hiatus while Dan figures out what he’s going to do with it next. This comic is a series of (extremely) short stories written for an audience of cannibalistic hermits. I love this series and am sad to see it enter the endless desert of webcomic hiatus-land, but at the same time I really respect the fact that Dan announced his intention rather than just letting the series trail off like certain artists I could point out.
If you haven’t read For the Hermits yet there’s plenty of older stories to last until he gets back to updating. If you’ve already read them all, as I have, then sorry… I guess you’re out of luck. Hope you win the lottery or something.
I’d like to wish Dan the best of luck, and hope that he returns to visual storytelling sooner rather than later.
In other news, I can really relate to today’s xkcd. I was smart once too. It doesn’t help that I’m currently suffering from heat-induced stupidity.

That is sad news I really like FTH… there was an entertaining melancholy about it.

Well, you know, sometimes people need to sort through their artistic sensibilities. I think it’s much better to go on a hiatus now than to keep pushing ahead with something that doesn’t feel right.

It has been a long time since Gurewitch updated the PBF site. And this right after coming out with a book and doing a publicity tour.
