Today is Sean’s one month birthday. Hooray! Traditionally, in Newfoundland this would be a day of celebration as it marks the first lunar cycle during which the young’un managed to avoid being eaten by a polar bear. Hopefully there will be many more lunar cycles in which Sean will avoid being eaten by a bear; I’ve managed 426 of them myself. Of course it helps if you move to a country where there aren’t any polar bears, aside from the occasional cartoon character.
