I’ve got some bad news from the land of webcomics- due to personal issues, The Flowfield Unity has been suspended indefinitely. I wish Adam the best of luck and hope that he’ll begin a new creative project sooner rather than later. Take care, mate.
Over at ScienceBlogs today, there’s an article up about certainty. It turns out that poor old Pyrrho had things ass-backwards; peace of mind doesn’t come from the suspension of judgment, it comes from feeling absolutely certain about things you actually don’t know. Suddenly, every philosophical argument I’ve ever seen on the internet makes perfect sense.
I’ve often said that nothing frightens me as much as certainty. Maybe, for the sake of my mental health and yours, I should stop worrying and learn to love obliviousness.
