Elevator Sonata
It’s Friday, I’m exhausted, so let’s rock out. I’ll start with an old favorite- Oblivion by Terrorvision. When I first heard this song introduced on Much, I had a completely incorrect impression of what kind of song it would be. Anyhow, it rocks.
Lush are probably best remembered for their melodies and shoegazing, but they could certainly bring the rock when they wanted to. Here’s Hypocrite.
My favorite slam dance song of all time is Kill Your Television by Ned’s Atomic Dustbin. There’s something about this song that speaks directly to that primitive part of my brain which wants to smash things. Of course, if I tried slam dancing these days I’d probably dislocate a hip or something. Still, the song brings back many fine memories.
