Martian Honeys (5 of 8)
It’s been a week since I ordered some root beer extract, which means that it could plausibly arrive any day now… or, depending on how they shipped it, any time in the next few weeks. Hopefully it’ll be here by Christmas. Mmmm, root beer.
This week I learned a new phrase- Narm Charm. This is now officially one of my favorite concepts. It describes how I feel about a great number of tacky things, for instance this music video.
Sure, it’s over the top in its angstful post-grunge monochromaticness, but man is it ever a catchy tune. Unfortunately I don’t yet know the term for its opposite, something intentionally ridiculous which none the less evokes actual pathos. I like that too.
Finally, something ridiculous and tacky with absolutely no redeeming social values whatsoever. Because I like to hurt you. It’s because I care.
