It’s the week before exams. This means that I can never know what to expect from my students. Some of the classes have gone into a catatonic state, while others have become manic, and a small percentage has remained mostly as they were before. There’s a lot of pressure on them because they honestly believe that each and every exam is the most important exam of their lives. The scary part is that they may be right.

At some point, I’ll have to ask you more about the other foreign teachers you’ve dealt with.
