Somebody Call Maintenance
It’s been a busy week. I’ve had no classes because of exams, but there have been plenty of meetings and loads of red tape to sort through before the end of the year. I also had my annual physical to prove that I’m not on drugs and am free of communicable diseases. I hate that foreign teachers have to do this medical exam once a year. Officially I’m opposed to it because I think it’s a useless boondoggle which serves no purpose other than xenophobic pandering. Secretly, most of my opposition stems from the paranoid fear I get while waiting for my test results that I may have caught hepatitis from a dirty toilet seat.
