Sonja Turbot: Existential Investigator, Page 34
I reread this story today, and it suffers from a lot of fragmentation syndrome- that’s always a danger when doing a story one page at a time over a course of months rather than weeks. In the future I’d like to work on shorter pieces- I’ll probably break the remainder of Mischa’s Story into chapters, and put up short stories in between.
Have you seen the trailer for the American live action version of Dragonball yet? A while back a Japanese friend pulled me aside and said that I absolutely had to watch it. Before watching the video I honestly had no idea that she was a sadist. Afterwards, we both laughed and tried to pick something from the trailer that was even vaguely similar to Dragonball.
One of the things that bugs me about the movie (or at least the trailer) is that all of the characters appear to be Asian, except for Goku (I assume that’s Goku). They say that Hollywood isn’t willing to put an Asian Amercian man in a leading role… at least, they aren’t willing to do that for the upcoming Avatar movie. Livejournal user Aang_aint_white has started a letter-writing campaign to convince the Kennedy/Marshall Company (producers of the film) to change their minds on selecting an all-caucasian cast for the main characters.
