Last weekend I bought a great new comic: Flotsam by David Wiesner. Don’t be put off by the fact that it’s a children’s book. A boy goes to the beach with his parents. While looking at the sea life, he finds an old camera that had washed ashore. The boy has the film from the camera developed and discovers that… well, I wouldn’t want to ruin the big secret. The entire story is told without words and is beautifully illustrated. Go buy a copy for a child you know, but make sure to read it yourself first.
We have some good discussions going on at the GearHead forum about the graphics of the game and also the character portraits. Assless chaps on giant robots may be involved.
