Last Human Alive Page Nine
I’m really glad that all the sciencebloggers (and at least one overlord) enjoyed last Friday’s cartoon. My one regret, as I said at the time, is that I couldn’t fit in everybody. I’ve started to make amends for that. If you are a science blogger from SB or elsewhere and would like a wrestling makeover, drop me a line and I’ll see what I can do.
Lemongrass and the Vole with No Name seem like opposites, but I usually think of them as two sides of the same coin. They’re both defined by their ignorance- Lemongrass because she’s young and naive, NoName because he prefers living in his hypermasculine fantasy world thankyouverymuch. They’re also both idealists, of a sort. Lemongrass believes that the world is fair and people are basically nice. NoName believes that the world is ruled by manly competition and that the strongest, toughest voles are the ones who’ll prosper.
One big difference between the two is that Lemongrass’s ignorance is the result of her age, while NoName expends a great deal of mental energy to maintain his delusions.
