Shoulder Pads
I blame the outrageous shoulder pads of the GearHead universe on a youth misspent drawing WH40k characters. It’s a good thing I didn’t have access to Judge Dredd during my formative years or else everyone’d have gigantic kneepads instead.

We now need a popular mecha with an outsized codpiece. It needn’t be explicit, not even phallic per se, just… outsized and properly placed.
