Kroper’s Guide to Holiday Shopping
Actually, I left out one of the best alternate universe gifts: the sixth Hitchhiker’s book by Douglas Adams. Of course, that’s assuming that I can find a universe where he finished it by 2010… and yelling at him “hurry up man, you’ve already passed on in my reality!” would not likely provide adequate motivation. Although it does sound like something that would happen in one of his books.
The time has come to ask the question…
Which book should I dedicate myself to in 2011: Alien Lives, Voles of the Apocalypse, or The Great Arcane?
You can answer in the comments below, send me an email, or just think really loud. For reference I’ll provide a short description of each project.
Alien Lives is an anthology of scifi and fantasy stories mostly dealing with the concept of otherness. The sample story was Brave New Girl, there will be some short subjects betwen the chapters and Kroper here will make a couple of appearances as well.
Voles of the Apocalypse will tell two interwoven stories: NoName’s trek through the wasteland and the election feud between Pancake and Flapjack. The Last Human Alive should be the first story in the collection, while The Vole That Dare Not Speak Its Name introduces the conflict. Lord Marmot will be returning.
The Great Arcane is a conspiracy story featuring Darcy Generic. Nerds are getting possessed by demons, drug dealers are financing CBC family specials, and someone keeps stealing the brains out of American tourists. The Way I Am was the sample story; A Trip to the Homeopath will be included as well.
Let me know what you think, and thank you for reading.

I vote that you concentrate exclusively on each of these, each in a different reality. Just access hyperspace by using epic doses of espresso.

Difficult choice, and I’d favor Mark’s approach if I could afford the intermembranal fees.
Ooooooooooooh, fine, I’ll give in to temptation and ask for more Darcy.

My vote’s for Darcy Generic.
